NEW LEAF Consignment (NLC) IN STORE Policy
- There is no annual registration fee.
- Clients must read and FULLY understand NEW LEAF’s policy before consigning their merchandise. NEW LEAF is not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise.
- Consignment is by private appointment. Apparel must be dry cleaned or laundered, pressed, and on hangers. No merchandise with stains or wrinkles will be accepted. All consignment must be only 1 to 2 years old and in the current season. We only accept the latest fashion trends and or unique vintage jewelry and handbags.
- FIRST TIME CONSIGNMENT: 5 items minimum – 20 items maximum. Items are placed on the selling floor in the consignors’ name for 60 days items and discounted 10% – 25% at two-week intervals. After 6 weeks merchandise will move to our Frugal Fashions Department and be sold at 75% off. NEW LEAF reserves the right to use special promotions at any time to expedite the sale of merchandise.
- Consignors will receive an inventory sheet of all accepted merchandise the day merchandise is placed on the selling floor. Merchandise is not returned to consignors and automatically becomes the property of NEW LEAF on the 61st day. Select luxury handbags, jewelry, and other merchandise priced over $100.00 will be returned to a consignor only by prior agreement with NEW LEAF. Tax write-off forms for all donated items are available in February each year. Consignors must call us if you need one mailed to you.
- COMMISSIONS, PROCESSING and HANDLING FEES, AND PAYMENT: Instead of reducing a Consignor’s portion of a sale, effective 11/15/2023, NEW LEAF’s Processing and Handling fees have increased to $1.00 for each ‘sold’ item. Processing and Handling fees are adjustments on your check. Consignors’ accounts will be credited 45% or 50% commission based on the final selling price of each item minus the appropriate handling fee. Consignor checks are mailed by the 15th every other month.

Merchandise is pre-screened and examined in detail to guarantee authenticity. Merchandise experts will be called upon, if necessary, to review any item in question.

CLIENTS PAY for shipping via USPS for any individual item under $100.
NEW LEAF Consignment will provide free shipping through USPS anywhere in the USA for an individual item priced OVER $100. There may be an additional fee for rush shipping or shipping through a different carrier.

- Brand New with Tags; This item appears to be brand new and never worn and accompanied by a tag, authenticity card, or an original box.
- Like New, this item may have been opened and may not have the tag still attached but appears nearly unused.
- Average Wear/Excellent; This item has been worn and has overall use but shows no significant wear. Generally, there are some imperfections but no notable scratches, marks, etc.
- Well-Loved This item has been worn multiple times and has considerable wear, such as highly visible scratches or marks.
